Advanced Motorcycle Training

Prior to the commencement of training you will be required to pass an eye sight test. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, please remember to have them with you. You must be able to read a car number plate at 20.5 metres.

Your motorcycle
Please ensure that you have a current insurance certificate, a valid test certificate (if required), valid road tax and the vehicle is road legal and mechanically sound. 

Please wear suitable protective clothing, boots, gloves and helmet. Failure to do so will result in training being cancelled.


A deposit is required to book courses. You will be advised of the amount and the balance is payable before the start of course. All balances are due on or before the first day of training by cash or bank transfer.

D.V.S.A. require that you produce the following for all courses:-

A valid full motorcycle licence

A valid insurance certificate covering your use of your machine

A valid test certificate for your machine


Get2Grips reserves the right to cancel or re-arrange training where the weather conditions at the time would make it unsafe to proceed, with no cost to you.

Get2Grips will make your training as safe and enjoyable as possible. However, there is always risk in connection with the use of any motor vehicle. Your instructor can have no direct control over your vehicle and ultimately it is your responsibility to ride safely. With this in mind you must comply with the following:-

Attend the course refreshed and enthusiastic as this will help you learn and retain knowledge during training. 

If you are unsure about anything, get it clarified before carrying on. 

Do not feel pressured into anything if you are not confident.

If any problems occur whilst on the road, pull over in a safe place as soon as possible.

If you have any problems or concerns of any kind during training, you must bring them to the attention of your instructor. 

The instructor has the right to cease training if they believe you to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 

Any complaints regarding your standard of training will initially be dealt with verbally by your instructor who will attempt to resolve it at the time. If you are less than satisfied with the outcome you are invited to put your complaint in writing. Your complaint will be answered in writing with details of any action to be taken or further explanation for your records. If you are still not satisfied with the standard of training given please refer your complaint to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, Registrar of Post Test Motorcycle Trainers.

Get2Grips shall not be liable for any loss or damage to your property, nor death or injury, unless due to negligence or other failure of Get2Grips to perform its obligations.

In the unlikely event of an accident, Get2Grips has in place Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
